Irritated By Unwanted Facial Hair? These 6 At-Home Remedies Promises To Make Your Life Easier
3:37 AMAll of us want to put our best face forward when we step out into the big bright world. We also want to put forward our best foot, hand, and back wherever necessary. What if there is unwanted hair marring the sight?
Don’t take such a chance. Clear that unmanageable hair with nothing but ingredients around your kitchen. Sounds good? Then spare a few minutes with me.
Hair Today, Still Here Tomorrow:
Such are the tales of women with unwanted hair. When the hair on the arms and legs is waxed or shaved, we’re rid of it for a while. But, what about that fine, thin hair on the cheek, upper lip, chin, back, chest and stomach?
For women with hormonal issues, such unwanted hair is a major problem (1). These hairs can’t possibly be removed with harsh methods like plucking, tweezing and shaving (2). Especially not when it comes to the face!
Delicate unwanted hair must also be handled delicately, if you want a smooth, natural look. This is where home remedies make a difference. Let’s take a trip to the kitchen.
And The Scout Begins:
1. Sugar Me Up:
Sugar, once mixed with a little lemon juice and water, acts like a great exfoliating ingredient. The mixture is also a skin lightener. Mix the ingredients well, apply to the hairy areas and let it dry for about 20 minutes.
Now, rub the solution gently in circular motions as you wash it away. Perform this method thrice a week to see visible reduction in hair growth.
2. And Pour Me Some Lemon And Honey:
We’re not done with sugar yet. Mix a little more sugar in a spoonful each of honey and lemon juice. Heat the mixture for 3 minutes. This becomes a waxy paste you can use on your back, arms or legs. Ensure the paste is smooth, so add a little water for consistency.
Let the mixture cool down. Add 2 spoons of flour to the areas where you have unwanted hair. Spread the paste in the direction of hair growth and using a waxing strip, pull the hair out in the opposite direction (3). Voila, hair gone!
3. Quick! Find That Oatmeal:
Oatmeal can be used as a great scrub on delicate skin. Mix it with banana, and your facial skin will bounce like that of a baby. Mix 2 teaspoons of oatmeal with 1 ripe mashed banana and apply the paste.
Using circular motion, rub the paste for 15 minutes before washing it away. Carry this out two times a week; soon the unwanted hair will leave you forever.
4. Paint Yourself Yellow:
With Turmeric powder, of course! The ingredient will prevent hair growth and further bring a glow to your skin. To get rid of unwanted hair, mix turmeric with milk or rose water.
Apply this paste to the hairy areas, let it dry and wash it off. For denser hair, mix ground oats. Use this remedy regularly until you notice a change.
5. Potato, You Are Finished:
It’s time to boil, peel and mash a potato. Grind yellow lentil soaked overnight. Extract juice from the mashed potato by squeezing the paste. To this juice, add yellow lentil paste, a little amount of lemon juice and honey. Apply the mix, let it dry and remove it using circular rubbing motions.
6. Crack An Egg:
Crack open the egg and separate the yellow guy from the white gel. Add a spoon of sugar and half a spoon of corn flour to the white portion and beat it well. Apply this as a face mask and let it dry. After 20 minutes, peel the mask carefully so that the unwanted hair comes away with it.
There are many more ways you can rid yourself of unwanted hair with simple remedies. These happen to be the easiest and come at absolutely no cost. Have more to share? Do let me know your thoughts and opinions in the comments sections below.
