How To Do Your Eye Make Up Like Jennifer Aniston?

Very popularly known as Rachel from F.R.I.E.N.D.S, Jennifer Aniston always manages to portray a bubbly, chirpy persona, so full of life. She managed to floor a hunk as handsome as Brad Pitt at some point in her life, and, very recently, was in the news for finally marrying her longtime boyfriend, Justin Theroux. She hardly needs to do much to impress – her simplicity is just so striking that it always does the trick. But, even that ‘Oh So Simple!’ look needs a little bit of glamming up. So let’s take a look at the secret behind those innocent eyes of Jennifer Aniston.

Jennifer Aniston’s Eye Make Up:

1. The Lids:

She always looks like peaches and cream, and, incidentally, once she sets her base right, she uses a little bit of peach-colored cream blush, right in the middle of those eyelids, to enhance them. If you look at Aniston’s makeup closely, you will notice that she uses natural tones for her lids, which almost always comprise of silvers or oranges. So, once the peach blush is beautifully blended on her lids, there are two specific greys she uses. They are natural shades and yet have a touch of shimmer to them. She dabs the grey from the crease, right onto the center, until the eyeball. Choosing the right color for your eyes is very essential, or else it could make the look a little too heavy. Once she applies the grey, she then blends it well using a sponge. Like all makeup artists would always say, the secret is in blending in perfectly.

In the event that she wants to lighten her shadow, she just adds a tinge of white onto her lids, and blends it in using a brush. This reduces the excessive grey and gives her eyelids the glow that they need. Once the grey and white are perfectly set, she dabs on a little bit of color, and some peachy love on it. Voilà! A beautifully done, natural eye shadow explained.

2. The Brows:

Let’s address the eyebrows now. This one is simple. Owing to her light skin tone and light hair color, black would look a wee bit harsh. So Aniston uses a soft brown pencil to fill in her eyebrows.

3. The Liner:

Aniston never has a bold black or brown rim along her lash lines because she always carries a smudged look. She loves shimmer and usually opts for shimmer sticks to line her eyes. But obviously, you don’t notice the shimmer so much because it is blended in with a concealer and smudged out beautifully. The smudging is usually done with the finger, as no brush can work as seamlessly as the fingers. Two shimmer products that she swears by are: a) Shimmer from Laura Mercier, and b) A shimmer product from Salma Hayek’s beauty line. She loves shimmer, and you will notice the little bling around her eyes that gives her a dainty bling. It is almost as if it is there and yet not there.

Once the shimmer is taken care of, a generous swipe of mascara is used to finish the look.

Taking The Look From Day To Night:

Using the same base, all that needs to be done to take this simple day look to an uber glam, dazzling night look is this: using a small brush, she takes a little more of the grey eye shadow and smudges it in where she initially used the cream stick, that is near her eyeballs, at the center of her eyes. She then takes a black shimmer, not too much, or it might harden the look, but just enough, and rims her lash lines with it. It makes a world of difference!

Well, it does take a little effort and some practice to master the art of getting the eyes right. But it is the mysterious eyes that always leave you swooning, whether it is Jennifer Aniston or any other star of your choice.
