The changing seasons are always exciting. There are always new trends, new styles, new clothes, and new ideas to look forward to. But the changing seasons also have their effects on our skin. We are almost always so engrossed in our clothes and accessories that we fail to notice the ill effects of the seasonal changes on our skin. They call out to us, desperately for our attention. And then when they still don’t get it, there are breakouts and wrinkles and a plethora of other issues. But how do we care? It’s only dressing up that matters, right?

Well, for the love of beautiful and flawless skin, it is time we pay attention to it. And these very simple steps that don’t need going out of the way will help you get the skin you always envied, all the year round. How awesome is that!

Weatherproofing of the skin starts from the inside. Beauty is never skin-deep, right? You need to make sure you eat right. Load up on fresh fruits, vegetables, and green leafy veggies. Fish is amazing for your skin too. Omega-3 supplements are also recommended for beautiful skin. Moral of the story – cut out the junk and processed foods, and make sure you eat everything that is healthy. A healthy body is directly proportional to a healthy skin.

It takes a healthy lifestyle to translate into healthy skin. And a healthy lifestyle also includes a beauty regime. Make sure you are not messing with the pH balance of your skin. If you are not aware, something as simple as showering can mess with the balance. Long, hot showers are extremely tempting after a busy, stressful day. Make sure you avoid those for the love of your skin. Also avoid the harsh soap, and opt for alcohol-free cleansers for your skin. You could also binge on antioxidant-rich foods and see the difference it makes to your delicate rind.

Some of us avoid exfoliating because we are lazy and some of us leave it out of our beauty regime thinking it is too harsh. But it is time you know that exfoliation is an extremely essential part of skin care. Exfoliation helps to rid old, dead cells, debris, and buildup. It is recommended you exfoliate once a week, but you need to check the requirement as the seasons change.

Oh H2O! What would we do without you? Tried and tested and a sure shot method for great skin – WATER. Get rid of dry, drab skin, by guzzling down fresh water. Even water-rich foods work wonders for your skin. The tricky bit is tackling winters, when our body very easily avoids water, and when there is maximum risk of dehydration. But if not for you, then at-least for your skin’s sake, remember to hydrate and nourish those dainty skin cells.

CTM still rules when it comes to skincare. You can try as hard as you want but moisturizing is never going out of vogue. Be it the hot summer days, or the cold winter nights, they are both going to call for a great moisturizer. Always remember to give your skin a special treat. Either use facemasks, or go get yourselves an exotic facial. The best part is our delicate skin is even very happy with humble staples from the kitchen shelf. No matter what you pick, always pamper that precious epidermis.
