Are you turning sixteen soon and getting ready for your Quinceanera? If so, you need a pink fluffy dress and gorgeous makeup that makes you look like a budding princess. We cannot help with your dress, but here is a simple makeup tutorial for young girls who may be hosting or attending a Quinceanera.

To know more, read on!

1. Face:

A sixteen year old’s face is youthful and dewy. So, slathering on too much makeup is not desirable at all. The base makeup should be kept light and simple. At this age, pimples and acne are common. Hence, use a concealer stick to dot on and hide these blemishes. On top of that, use a sheer liquid or powder foundation that gives medium coverage. Pick a color that matches your skin tone, not something lighter or darker. The healthy, rosy glow of youth should not be covered by foundation. You can also opt for a tinted moisturizer. Using a translucent, shimmery mineral powder, seal your base makeup.

2. Cheeks:

To enhance the redness of cheeks, try a pink or plum shade of blush. Use a powder blush that can be easily and well blended. Use a very small amount and dot on the apples of your cheeks. Use a big round brush to blend the blush in circles. It should impart a touch of glow to your face without a heavily made up look.

It is advised to skip bronzer as it can make your face look more mature and older than necessary. If you do want a metallic glow, try the shimmery mineral blush. If you don’t have a blush, you can also use a pink lipstick to blend into your cheeks.

3. Eyes:

Let your eyes speak on your Quinceanera. Start with a light pink, cream-based paint on your lids and smudge with your ring finger. You can do a smokey eye, but do not use too many dark colors. A dark pink or light brown would be enough. With a stiff brush, dust above and below your lashes. You can also smudge the shadow into the crease of your eye. Take a dark pencil and run over your upper and lower lashes. Retrace these lines with a black gel liner. You can do a small wing tip at the ends, but don’t drag it too long. You can dab some champagne glitter near your tear ducts.

4. Lips:

No chapped lips for your Sweet Sixteen party, so scrub and moisturize your lips. You can use a tinted lip balm to give your pout a luscious, rosy shine. You can also use a lipstick. Line your lips with a pink pencil and fill in with a hot pink or rosy red lipstick. If you want to plump your lips a little, rub some peppermint essential oil on them after blotting the lipstick. A dark or popping red lipstick would go nicely too.

5. Hair:

If you are not getting your hair done by a stylist, try doing some feminine styles. A chignon with a pretty clip would look nice. You can also curl your hair while sweeping the whole mass of hair in a messy bun. It looks trendy and stylish and doesn’t take a long time.

6. Nails:

Quirky nails look great on teenagers. For your Quinceanera, go for trendy nail art. A basic rose petal or plum shade of nail polish works nicely. There are various easy nail arts. If you have a knack for it, you can also try some nail art of a medium level of difficulty. The simplest design is black or white (or alternately both) colored polka dots on your nails, which would look trendy.
