We take utmost care of our homes and pay attention to the smallest of details – the color of the walls, the cleanliness, the aromas and scents in the living room pot potpourri, and the fluffiness of the towels in the guest bath. This definitely wins us brownie points at luncheons and dinner parties. What we do forget to pay attention to is the intangible elements that should be our utmost priority. The most important among them is the safety of the four walls within which we reside.

The home is our abode, where we start a family and raise our children. Many of us even live alone and don’t have many people coming over. In such situations, we have to fend for ourselves, and are responsible for our own wellbeing and protection.

It is really important to ensure that our dwelling is free from all sorts of hazards, the worst and the most important one being fire. A small flame can spread within seconds and set the entire house ablaze in a short span of time.

This video shows us how the smallest of mistakes can lead to fatal accidents. Batteries may look safe and secure, and once we store them out of sight it is easy for us to forget about them. But even a small 9V battery has the power to start a fire and burn the house down.
