White wine helps in neutralizing the red wine stains on the carpet. It counteracts the red wine and removes the stain within seconds. However, it also depends on how fresh the stain is – the older the stain, the harder it will be to remove it. Here’s how you can do it:

1. First, take a few paper towels and dab them on the stain. This will absorb a little bit of the wine. Soak up as much wine as possible, but be careful not to rub over the stain as it can push the stain deeper into the fabric of the carpet.
2. Now, pour a little bit of white wine over the stain and blot the area using paper towels (a clean cloth will also serve the purpose).
3. Continue blotting till the stain fades away. It shouldn’t take long.

But, what if you have run out of white wine? Here are a few alternatives that can help you remove the stain:

1. Use Club Soda.

Club soda can be used as an alternative to remove red wine stains. First, pour some club soda on the stain and blot properly. Now, make a mixture of warm water and a dishwashing liquid and pour it over the stain. Dab with paper towels.

2. Use Hydrogen Peroxide And Shampoo.

Mix a teaspoon of shampoo in a cup of hydrogen peroxide. Dip a clean sponge in this solution and dab this mixture over the stain. Then, start blotting it. Once you notice that the stain is gone, take a clean cloth or towel, dip it in warm water and dab it over the stained area.

Try these methods and let us know your experience. Trust us, you won’t be disappointed!
