2. Consider:

The second step of Catholic meditation encompasses reading a passage from a spiritual or holy book. You can also consider the writings of a saint, a natural landscape, or sacred image. The best way to make a choice is through experience with different things. Taking guidance from a spiritual director can help a lot. Reading and thoughtful consideration of spiritual phrases helps you ponder in your heart and mind over the ways of God and their personal implications on you.

3. Converse:

This is the core of Catholic meditation. The basic implication of this step is to have a hearty conversation with Christ. 4. Commit:

This is the final step of Catholic meditation. This step asks you to conclude your prayers with a positive impact on your life and thank the Almighty for helping you meditate. You make a commitment to do something fruitful due to an influence by the amount of time you have spent with the Lord. It can be making an extra visit to the church, helping the needy, or asking forgiveness from someone you had hurt with your words. It should be concrete to satisfy your soul.

Just like breathing is important to keep our body alive, mediation is necessary for the life of the soul. Unlike prayer, where we only speak to God, meditation helps us listen to God and His ways. When we implement His guidelines into our life through meditation, we move to a better life automatically.
