Saffron is an effective treatment for fever. Boil a tablespoon of saffron in 100 ml water. Sip a tablespoon of it every hour until the fever subsides. It provides instant relief to the body.

If you’re suffering from high fever, soak around 25 to 30 raisins in half a cup of water. Crush the raisins in the same water and strain it. Add a tablespoon of lime water in that juice, and drink it twice a day until your fever is gone.

You can also give yourself a sponge bath. Soak a sponge in cold water and place it on the high-heat areas including the armpits and the groin.

When you’re not bathing, place a cold, damp cloth on your forehead and the back of your neck. You can also add a cup of vinegar to the water, wring the washcloth, and apply it to the forehead.

Add 1 tablespoon of tulsi leaves to one cup of hot water. Wait for 5 minutes, and drink it about three to four times a day. This drink of tulsi leaves makes you sweat more, making your fever subside by the next day.

Rice starch (also known as kanji, in Hindi) is a common home remedy used for ages to treat viral fever. It acts as a diuretic that increases urination and boosts the immune system.

How To Prepare:

Take a cup of rice and prepare to cook it. Once it starts cooking, strain the liquid into a tumbler, add a pinch of salt, and drink it warm. It will help combat fever.

Fenugreek seeds or methi are considered a reservoir of various medicinal compounds that help reduce fever and combat many diseases. Soak a tablespoon of fenugreek seeds in half a cup of water overnight. In the morning, strain the solution and sip it in regular intervals.
