2. Applying Tea Tree Oil Mixed With Honey:

Combine two to three drops of tea tree oil with a teaspoon or two of raw honey. Apply this directly on the infected part and leave it for a few hours or overnight. Wash it with clear water and repeat the same for few days to remove acne.

3. Applying Tea Tree Oil With Aloe Vera:

If your skin is sensitive, or if it becomes dry upon the application of undiluted tea tree oil, try mixing it with Aloe Vera. Mix two to three drops of tea tree oil with two or three teaspoons of Aloe Vera. Then, using a cotton swab, apply this mixture on the acne affected area. Leave for an hour or two or you can also leave it overnight. Wash it and repeat the procedure every day to get relief from acne.

Side Effects Of Tea Tree Oil:

  • Tea tree oil is generally safe for most of the people, but can cause skin irritation and swelling in some. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should avoid using tea tree oil as it is found to reduce contraction strength.
  • The oil has also been found to cause allergic reactions. So, it is advisable to avoid using this oil by people with known allergy or sensitivity to tea tree oil.
